Barbara, a native of Wisconsin, has more than 25 years of insurance industry experience. She began her marine insurance career with an agency specializing in recreational business operations. She later expanded her knowledge and experience focusing on commercial marine-related risks. Prior to joining LP Insurance in 2018, Barbara led CAPAX Marine Providers, a subsidiary of the CAPAX Companies.

Currently, she utilizes her extensive knowledge in marine exposures to support her clients through insurance solutions and risk mitigation. She is experienced in both Jones Act (maritime crew) and US Longshore and Harbor Workers exposures. Barbara is known for her ability to look at operations from a variety of different perspectives to offer both insurance and non-insurance solutions to her clients.

Barbara is committed to the highest level of expertise possessing several professional designations including: CPCU (Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter), CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor), CRM (Certified Risk Manager) and CWCA (Certified Work Comp Advisor).

She is an active member of the community and is dedicated to supporting the ongoing operations of the Hospice of San Joaquin which is committed to providing end of life care to the terminally ill and their family members.
