Mr. Jones was appointed Director of the Los Angeles County Department of Beaches and Harbors (DBH) in 2014. With a staff of over 350 employees, DBH maintains 19 beaches across 24 miles of the County’s coastline and manages Marina del Rey Harbor.

Prior to joining the County of Los Angeles in 2009, Mr. Jones worked for the City of San Diego. He is a past president and current board member of the California Association of Harbormasters and Port Captains.
