Becka Kelly began her career at the Morro Bay Harbor Department in 2000 after working as a marine biologist and commercial fishing in Santa Cruz, Alaska, Morro Bay, Hawaii, Mexico, and Australia. She has worked her way up the ladder from Reserve Harbor Patrol Officer and Junior Lifeguard Coordinator to become the Harbor Patrol Supervisor in 2010.

Becka’s love of the ocean, outdoors and helping people in the community she grew up in, makes the Morro Bay Harbor Department a perfect place to work. She is also lucky to work alongside her husband, a Paramedic Engineer at Morro Bay Fire Department and raising their children in greater Estero Bay.

Currently, Becka is on the Board of the Morro Bay National Estuary Program and Central Coast Women for Fisheries.
