Speaker Bio
Austin Bleier is the President of MarineSync Corporation. Founded in 2009, Bleier started MarineSync with the goal of developing hardware and software solutions for the Marine and RV industry. With a strong background in electronics, computing and technology, Austin focused on specific deficiencies and industry processes that could benefit from automation, monitoring and remote connectivity.
With family ties to the Pumpout industry, Austin introduced the MS1, Pumpout Monitoring System. The system was designed specifically to address federal reporting standards, while offering pump manufacturers diagnostic and telemetry data. Austin was able to be the first to market and continues to offer the gold-standard for reporting automation under the CVA grant.
As an avid boater, Austin turned his focus on addressing and solving problems that negatively impacted the boating experience. With plenty of first-hand knowledge to draw from, Austin developed an affordable and reliable Vessel monitoring system to offer safety and security onboard boats. The system offered vessel owners peace of mind, remote access and notifications from their vessels while away from the marina.
As luck would have it, the Vessel monitoring system started a new conversation with marina managers and pedestal manufacturers. It didn’t take long for Austin to recognize what the industry was lacking. Focus quickly shifted to developing a new device that would ultimately be installed into power pedestals – The RUM Transponder.
The RUM Transponder was developed to address what the industry was asking for…and what the industry was lacking. The RUM system offers marinas a secure, wireless link between their office and the power pedestals on the docks. It delivers wireless meter reading, ground fault detection and remote control of their utilities.
Austin is married with boys and two oversized dogs. He spends his free time fishing, sailing and enjoying time on the water.
